Stephanie + Michael | Front & Palmer

At the conclusion of our initial photography consultation, I reached out my hand for the final handshake... Stephanie took one look at me and said, "I'm a hugger." After that heartfelt hug, I knew that I wanted to document Stephanie & Michael's wedding! We share similar values pertaining to family, life & love, knew a lot of the same people and I totally connected with their wedding vision.

Stephanie & Michael have established a life together in Philadelphia and it was important to them to incorporate the city and their love of nature into their wedding celebration. Additionally, they planned the celebration on Lag B'Omer, a date that can mark the first opportunity for a wedding in the spring or early summer and April 28th turned out to be a beautiful day in Philadelphia. Stephanie got ready for the day at the Hotel Monaco in Olde City which is "the" Kimpton to stay at. The location of the hotel allowed us to enjoy the juxtaposition of historic Philadelphia & several city parks for photography prior to heading to the wedding venue.

The ceremony & reception were hosted at Front & Palmer, a unique venue in the Fishtown neighborhood. The industrial building was decorated with beautiful natural elements and simple, elegant floral arrangements utilizing an array of blue mason jars & bottles collected by the couple. The importance of family & friends to the couple shone through in every aspect of the day, from the ceremony traditions to the dance party that ensued. It was such a pleasure documenting this perfect day!
