Rachel + Jimmy | Lakeside Micro Wedding

Rachel and Jimmy met in college, and after years of friendship and were married alongside a beautiful lake with a small number of friends and family.

Rachel shared some of their moving love story with us and explained, “We met at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He was on the Wrestling team and I was on the Rowing team. I met him because my rowing partner and best friend, Linmarie was dating him at the time. They were seniors when I was a freshmen and we lost touch for 2 years after I transferred school. They got married and few years later Lin and I ended up working down the street from each other in NYC. I would take their dog to work with me one day a week and pet sit. Jimmy and I started working together, I was editing some of his videos. The three of us hung out all the time. Linmarie was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 around the same time I had decided to quit my job and seek a new career. I was able to help Linmarie after her chemo treatments and when we found out it was terminal, Linmarie had told me she wanted Jimmy to find love again. I think that was her way of trying to set me up one last time and giving me her blessing.” It was beautiful. Jimmy and Rachel went to Thailand for the Yee Peng Lantern Festival. “There were millions of lanterns floating in the sky and lotus flowers with candles lit along the river. It was magical!” said Rachel.

Despite having to downsize and change their plans, Rachel and Jimmy started their new life together full of laughter, love and joy. They laughed, they danced, they played games and they celebrated. Congratulations to you, Rachel and Jimmy!
