Pre-wedding Celebration Getaways in the Lehigh Valley & NEPA: Cheers to Friendship, Nature, and Craft Beer
When you’ve reached a certain stage of life, bachelor and bachelorette parties start to look a little different. Maybe what you’re craving now is something slower, richer, and more connected (and gender inclusive). A day and/or night surrounded by your favorite people, soaking in nature, sipping something local, and making memories that feel like you.
Whether you’re planning for yourself or your best friend, here are a few soulful, joy-filled ideas for a pre-wedding celebration rooted in wellness, craft, and connection — right here in the Lehigh Valley and NEPA.
1. Glamping + Craft Beer + Campfire Chats
Perfect for: Nature lovers, beer fans, and anyone who wants to fall asleep under the stars.
Spend a night tucked into the woods at a cozy glamping site or riverside cabin. Think twinkle lights, cozy blankets, and a cooler stocked with local brews from the NEPA Brewers Loop. Start the afternoon with a gentle hike, unwind with a sunset meditation or mini massage, and end the evening around a firepit with good food and even better stories.
The next morning? Coffee outside and maybe a stop at a local brewery (or two) before heading home.
For a truly unique stay, try Ferncrest or Magnolia Streamside. You won’t be disappointed!

2. Wellness Morning + Easton Brewery Hop + Overnight
Perfect for: A no-pressure day trip with space to breathe and room to celebrate.
Start your day with a restorative yoga class or paddle boarding session with MMY Paddle Boards. Ease into the afternoon with a farm-to-table lunch at the Easton Public Market, then head out for a relaxed brewery crawl. Two Rivers, Vault, and Wanderlust are all options depending on your vibe. Want to get adventurous? Check out Hangdog Outdoor Adventure for ziplining and brews.
We recommend making it an early night and enjoying wind down cocktails at your boutique hotel, Townley House or for more private stay, check out Mikey’s Place in the Westward with accommodations for 6 and a private backyard just minutes from downtown Easton.
The next morning? Check out Three Birds Coffee House on your way out of town.
3. Musikfest Weekend in Bethlehem
Perfect for: Music lovers, foodies, and anyone who loves a little magic in the air.
If you’ve never been to Musikfest, this is your sign. It’s one of the largest free music festivals in the country, and it’s right here in the Lehigh Valley. Plan your pre-wedding celebration around a weekend in August and spend the day wandering from stage to stage with a beer in hand, eating amazing local food, and dancing your heart out.
Add a stay at a charming Bethlehem B&B or boutique hotel to make it a full overnight experience. We recommend the Wilbur Mansion or Sayre Mansion Inn for a luxury experience within walking distance to all the fun. Just make sure that you book early! And if you want a stay right in the middle of the party, Wind Creek Hotel could be a great alternative; may we suggest adding a spa experience to nurse your hangover the next morning?

4. Intentional Mini-Retreat at a Cabin or Creative House
Perfect for: Those craving deep connection, rest, and something truly memorable.
This idea is close to my heart—and something I hope to offer more of through the retreat space we’re dreaming up. Picture this: you and your closest friends gathered at a beautiful private space. An afternoon of slow time, maybe a journaling circle or herbal DIY workshop, a home-cooked meal, and a campfire to end the night. No rush. Just space.
Bring your own drinks, set up a self-serve spa bar, and spend the night surrounded by trees and love. Check out Harmony Mountain House for an all inclusive retreat experience.
5. State Park Overnighter + Communal Cooking
Perfect for: Park advocates, nature lovers, and anyone who loves hiking followed by a cold beer.
You don’t need to be celebrating to enjoy the many Pennsylvania State and County Parks but I suggest you do! PA is home to diverse landscapes from mountains to valleys and everything in between. Introduce your friends to an experience that they can enjoy over and over again. Supporting local park eco-systems is a great way to invest in memories for years to come and will ensure that future generations can enjoy these resources too!
Lehigh Gorge and Hickory Run are close to the Lehigh Valley making these locations perfect for travelers from Philly, NYC, and points west. Following an invigorating hike with epic views, head back to your modern cabin campsite for chill time unwinding with a beverage. Communal meal prep and fireside chats round out the perfect day. Consider stopping at a local diner on the way out of town to spread the love.
It’s Not About “Should.” It’s About What Feels Good.
Your celebration doesn’t have to follow a template. It can be a celebration of the life you’ve built, the friendships that have held you up, and the love that brought you here. Whether you’re hiking to a waterfall, sipping wine under the stars, or dancing barefoot to live music—what matters most is that you feel like you.
If you’re planning something like this and want someone there to capture it in a way that’s honest, artful, and unobtrusive — I’d be honored to document it.
