Nicole + Adam | Philadelphia Horticultural Center Destination Wedding
I knew that Nina Lily Photography was going to be a great fit for Nicole and Adam's destination Philadelphia wedding at the Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park. Although Nicole and Adam live in Australia, I had the opportunity to sit down with Nicole and mother of the bride, Maria, on a planning visit home. I knew that Nicole and Maria were not only mother/daughter but also best friends. Meeting them in person, learning Nicole and Adam's story and feeling the excitement that Nicole and Maria were experiencing regarding the upcoming wedding, was absolutely infectious. Nicole and Maria are so gracious and genuine; I immediately wanted to work with them towards Nicole's wedding documentation. We quickly agreed that a Nina Lily Associate would be the perfect fit for Nicole's event. Nicole had grown up in the Philadelphia area, but had relocated to Australia where she quickly met her soul mate in Adam. It was just three weeks after Nicole had arrived in Sydney when mutual friends introduced the pair. During that initial introduction, it was clear that the connection was undeniable. Several days and an epic nine hour date later, Nicole and Adam knew that they had a future together.
One of my favorite experiences about working with Nicole and Adam has been the opportunity to witness how much their family cares about each other. Seeing the relationships and love unfold in front of our cameras was such a pleasure. Nicole and Adam gave us the creative freedom to look for the moments that make this family so special. As Nicole mentioned, "living so far from home can be quite difficult, so (they) live for telephone and Skype calls." Witnessing family and friends come together from all over the world to celebrate with this couple was not lost on us. I feel honored that we were able to document a part of Nicole and Adam's love story. Enjoy!
