Erin + Ryan | Lockridge Park & Furnace Museum
I've known Erin and Ryan since high school; Ryan was one of my BFF's older brothers. Even back then, I remember Erin and Ryan as being an awesome couple. I perceived them as always laughing and having a great time, so full of life. After high school, we all went our separate ways. I kept in touch with Ryan's family through the years and would see Ryan and his kids at various events. About a year after I'd last heard anything of his family, I received a Facebook message confirming that not only had Ryan and Erin gotten back together (over a decade later), but that they were planning on getting married! As Ryan put it, "She was my breath for so long, and then we had to find our own ways to breathe for awhile. After a long time apart, where we turned into adults and parents and professionals, I was able to have her in my life again."
I am ridiculously happy for this couple and their children. Although I was unable to personally document their long awaited day, my associate Jen Woodruff, did a fantastic job capturing the joy that surrounds Erin and Ryan. Enjoy!

~ from the groom:
When was the moment that you knew that you wanted to write a future together?"When I realized I couldn't spend a day without telling her about mine. When the only person I wanted to share anything with was her. When I realized that the girl I fell in love with as a stupid kid, was the woman I wanted to grow old with as a slightly less stupid grown up."
What do you love most about your partner?"Her honesty. Whether it's being brutally honest when you don't want her to be, or being true to who she is, Erin doesn't compromise who she is or what she believes for expediency."
What is your favorite memory from your engagement?"Designing the ring with her. It brought together so many different pieces of our lives, in anticipation that we were really doing it. I was ging to get to spend the rest of my life with her, no matter what obstacles were thrown in our way."
What do you look forward to most about your wedding?"Seeing Erin walk down the aisle in her wedding dress, knowing that she chose me to be a part of the rest of her life."
