Bethany + Jason | Brookside Country Club
Bethany & Jason met in high-school and had been together for 7 years prior to getting married in the Dominican Republic. They wanted the best of both worlds for their wedding celebration so the couple opted for an intimate destination ceremony & celebration and then hosted their reception for extended family & friends closer to home at the Brookside Country Club in Macungie, PA. I was really excited when Bethany & Jason approached me to do their reception photography. We planned an extended alone session and then I was able to focus on asserting a very documentary style during their party. Since Bethany was wearing a different gown and jewelry than she did in the Dominican, we opted to create a "first look" prior to photography at Lockridge Park. Located in Alburtis, PA, Lockridge is a park & furnace museum; this was the perfect location to get beautiful imagery featuring the Lehigh Valley's industrial heritage and open green spaces. The bridal party joined us back at Brookside and the party ensued. "The reception was an amazing night for both Jason and I. We wanted the best of both worlds and had a destination wedding and a reception back home so we could celebrate with everyone that couldn't come to the wedding. It was so great after so many months of planning seeing everything come together. It turned out exactly as we dreamed. We were so happy with choosing Christina as our photographer. We love the pictures that help us remember this amazing night. We were both so sad when it was over but are so happy we have the pictures to remember everything."
